I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tennessee. I got here 9 days ago, and before that day I had never been to the south before. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I have to say that Tennessee is a lot different, but different in a way that completely amazes me. I grew up believing in God, our Heavenly Father and His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Almost everyone around me didn't believe or just didn't care. Tennessee is completely different than what I grew up around. Almost everyone I meet believes in Jesus Christ. It is so amazing to see people's willingness to talk about Jesus Christ and all that he has done for us. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and His atonement.
Jesus Christ is there to help you through all the pain and sorrow you might experience in your life. If you let Him, and ask Him, He will be there to help you and comfort you and carry you in times of need.
Alma 7:11-13 11" And he shall go forth, suffering pains and aafflictions and btemptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will ctake upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people." 12 "And he will take upon him adeath, that he may bloose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to csuccor his people according to their infirmities." 13 "Now the Spirit aknoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the bflesh that he might ctake upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me." |
At times in my life when I have felt that no one understands what I am going through, I was wrong.
Jesus Christ, Our Savior knows exactly how we feel and what we are going through. He is the only one what really knows how we feel and if we turn to him, we can overcome our challenges.
